This is in honour of my mum Lily, who only ever sought to make the world a better place. She suffered agonising pain, only diagnosed a year after it started, and she died four days after her diagnosis. It's also in honour of a young junior doctor who I never got to thank personally, but who sat and cried with my dad, Larry, as he wept as my mum lay dying in hospital.
